 A discussion that many of us have had in our heads regarding the latest and seemingly wackiest style trends. And the fashion item leading this dialogue right now is none other than bicycle shorts. Yes. Bicycle shorts. What was once just a simple sporting and well frankly ugly item has suddenly become a high-fashion statement piece that we have been seeing not only on celebrities and style icons but also across the Spring/Summer 2018 catwalks.

So why all the fuss about bicycle shorts? Well for starters they’re sweat-slicking and comfy… two features that are perfect for summer. And when coordinated well with the rest of an outfit they can make one’s figure look damn good. The best part of this trend is that you can wear it right out of your morning spin class and onto the runway. Bicycle shorts is just too plain a name, this look deserves the title Spin Class Chic.

 How do we feel about this trend? Well we’re not entirely sure. Bicycle shorts are one of those items that can either be a total knockout or a flop, it’s really all in what they’re paired with.
