QFIN x Farfetch: Back to School Edit

As September rolls around, and we dread the idea of ending our summer in exchange for returning to classes, we welcome the yearly opportunity to reinvent our entire wardrobe, with open arms.

When it comes to carefully crafting a wardrobe that is equally wearable as it is unique, we look to none other than Farfetch, one of the biggest online retailers in the fashion industry, offering a variety of over 1,000 brands, most of which have exclusive deals with Farfetch. Not to mention, Farfetch has a 10% discount for all students!

The Interview

For most of us, an interview for any job can be a nerve-racking experience. The truth is that first impressions matter a lot more than we care to admit. The real challenge is making your outfit eye-catching enough to be remembered, but not obnoxious enough to be criticized. The key is to be bold, yet classic by experimenting with different details and silhouettes, while refraining from something like a zebra print.

Women’s Tip: Pairing a feminine silhouette like the Rotate blouse, with a structured We11done coat, emits major boss vibes!

Men’s Tip: A general rule of thumb is to take the understated route, the devil is in the details. Combine the best of both worlds, and catch the right attention with something like this double breasted Thom Browne blazer, or the unmistakable heart on the Ami button down.

Casual Day Out

To us at QFIN, a casual outfit is something that is effortlessly cool. An outfit that you could comfortably sit through 3 hour long lectures in, while looking good enough to go on a date after. Casual outfits are the perfect opportunity to easily display your personality and style.

Women’s Tip: A good pair of jeans and white sneakers are your best friend. If you’re looking for recommendations, check out these Isabel Marant Corsy jeans and Bryce sneakers.

Men’s Tip: For that sense of no-frills head turning style, look no further than a muted green Jil Sander jumper, or the slightly translucent Acne Trail sneakers.

Networking Event

Similarly to interviews, networking events act as an opportunity to introduce yourself into an industry or space that you could see yourself thriving in. For QFIN, it’s the fashion industry, and as such, for networking events like our conference, we feel the need to dress to impress. Carry yourself with confidence, as that is the perfect accessory to any outfit.

Women’s Tip: We all know that these networking events can often feel never-ending. These leather Nanushka pants and Prada Derby shoes are guaranteed to leave a lasting impression without sacrificing comfort!

Men’s Tip: Suits, dress shirts, and ties can be a little boring, especially when trying to leave an impression on someone who is immersed in the creative industry. Spice it up without going overboard with something like this oversized Balenciaga blazer with an embossed Ambush turtleneck underneath.

Night Out

It’s Friday night, and you’re ready to start your weekend. Night outs are a time for you to let loose and have some fun, and this includes your outfit. Oddly enough, a night out-fit can be harder to nail than an interview or conference look. This is because your outfit depends almost entirely on where you’re going, who you’re going with, and what you plan on doing. For example, your Gucci loafers probably aren’t the best option for a dive bar with unreasonably sticky floors.

Women’s Tip: Put down the jeans and sneakers, and slip into this St. Agni dress and these Amina Muaddi pumps. This outfit is guaranteed to make you feel feminine but edgy.

Men’s Tip: Build a fool proof monochromatic night outfit with these Rick Owen’s trousers, Hidden logo Prada Jacket, and Burberry logo tee, finishing off the look with a pair of Maison Margiela trainers.

Weekend Errands

The weekend is here! The time for business casual and officewear has momentarily passed and you want to enjoy every second of it. You’re dressing for yourself now. On the weekends, comfort is key, but that doesn’t mean you have to leave the house looking like it.

Women’s Tip: Ladies, we may have had a bit too much fun last night… but not to worry. Throw on these Gentle Monster shades, and pull up your hair with this Off-White Clip for a sleek weekend look.

Men’s Tip: Take a leisurely stroll down to the nearest coffee shop in this oversized Wooyoungmi cardigan, Visvim Rolands, and Gucci bucket hat.
